We have created this amazing database of all of Johnny's songs with the help of The Special Collections Department at the Georgia State University Library and the assistance of special researcher Jean-Louis Jacobs.

Users may browse song titles alphabetically, or search for songs using a keyword search. Keywords include words within a title, copyright dates, names of specific lyricists or composers (first name followed by last name), or words within a production title.

How to Use This Database
The Johnny Mercer Song Database provides the following information for each entry:

  • the song title;
  • the copyright date (for published songs);
  • the names of the lyricist(s);
  • the names of the composer(s);
  • the production (if any) for which the song was written or in which the song is heard; and
  • the symbol for the source in which the song is cited.
